Russia has deployed Tu-22M3 BACKFIRE-C and MiG-31K FOXHOUNDs to Syria as part off the Ukraine tensions. They are widely reported to be equipped with the latest Kh-32 and Kinzhal missiles respectively.

Submarine Misinformation: False Reports Of Russian Sub In Mediterranean
Russian media has reported that the country's only LADA Class submarine, Sankt Peterburg (B-585) has deployed to the Mediterranean.
This appears to be incorrect. The submarine is instead believed to be in Kronstadt in the Baltic.
